Park County Sheriff Wegener has imposed a county-wide burn ban which includes all private, State and Federal lands.  This means NO open fires in burn barrels, burn pits, campfires or outdoor stoves.  Camp stoves fueled by propane or gasoline with flame lengths of less than ½ inch are permitted.   Outdoor smoking is prohibited unless you are in an area at lest 3 feet in diameter that has been cleared of all flammable material down to mineral soil.  Use of chain saws or motors without spark arrestors is NOT advised.  Violations are subject to fines.  Fines may be based on cost to extinguish, suppress or stand-by.
