Chief's Report January 5, 2006

1. ISO status. We’re down to one leaky valve on Pumper 963. The engine overhaul for Tanker 982 is complete but there are some safety enhancements that have to be made.

3. NIMS (National Incident Management System) We will be training all of our personnel in the basics of the ICS.
4. CWPP. County Wildfire Protection Plan. Our nest meeting is February 1 and we are in the process of finalizing the data sources and category weightings for the final report.

5. PEP Points. Our exposure for 2005 is $ 1,291.00. If we had granted unlimited PEP Points our exposure would have been $ 2,399.00.

6. Service Truck project. We are continuing to search for a used truck that meets our requirements. We have been granted a time extension from DOLA until June 30, 2006. We have a lead on a truck in Casper, WY.

7. Colorado Wildfire Academy at Sterling in January. Four of our firefighters will be attending next week.
