Chief's Report June 1, 2006

1.      ISO status. We will be planning for training for the ISO evolutions this summer.   We  have a lot of work ahead of us and a lot of training to adequately perform these exercises.

2.      Runs/pageouts see summary.              

3.      The countywide burn ban is still on.  This will be re-evaluated next week and is likely to continue until the moisture level of the fuels increase.

4.      Service Truck project.  We have completed ordering the high-ticket items and will be working on installation of these items later this month.  We have more than enough in-kind labor and expenses to satisfactorily complete this project.

5.      EMT Class.  We have received a mini-grant of $ 2,500 from the County RETAC funds for this course with the stipulation that we obtain commitments from the students.

6.      We have submitted a grant application in the amount of $ 137,400.00 from the gaming impact funds for purchase of a new pumper.  This amount is for the basic truck; we will be equipping it with in-kind labor and equipment..
